Over 35 years and counting - serving the 715 with pride.

Company Milestones

In 1991, when Uniroyal announced it would be closing its doors at the Eau Claire plant, Tom Larson saw an opportunity. With $600, a company name, and a little red chevette, he launched Bear Valley Electric - named after a long gone country schoolhouse near his home.

Tom’s focus on customer service, quality craftsmanship, and investment in his team transformed a one-man shop into a thriving electrical company. In 2009, after nearly 18 years, Bear Valley Electric moved to its current home at 1728 Indianhead Drive in Menomonie’s East Industrial Park - less than 5 minutes from I-94, giving crews faster access to every community they serve.

Today, Tom’s son John Larson carries on the family legacy with the same commitment: superior workmanship, real customer care, and fair, competitive pricing for the communities that have trusted this company for over 35 years.
